Take your time. Lmk if I can help answer any Qs. I remember I spent too much time looking into this haha.
Overall: After comparing a lot of options (including UV systems), we decided that the maintenance free aspect was key to us. UV systems are more effective, but it requires yearly (!) maintenance from a technician and is much more expensive.
My current HVAC is 20 years old already. It is an original unit since I bought this new townhome in year 2026. Will it be wise to wait until I am ready to replace a new HVAC system?
Here’s what luis said “It is easy to remove it and re-install it”
“Oh. Be careful with the electrical wire connection. It can be wired to 120 VAC or 480 VAC”
        1. i-wave maintenance:
An iWave air purifier is designed to last around 10 to 15 years, matching the life of your HVAC system, because most models, like the iWave-R, have no replacement parts or ongoing maintenance, using self-cleaning ionization technology for years of effective, hands-free air purification. While some specialized models (like the iWave-C) have replaceable emitters, the standard residential units offer a decade-plus lifespan with minimal cost after initial installation, making them a long-term air quality solution. i-wave Pathogen test data : https://iwaveair.com/performance-data/
